Prayer for Protection from Enemies and Evil Forces
Reciting this prayer once a day ensures protection from all kinds of evil, including malevolent spirits and enemies. One who recites it is under the divine protection of the Almighty.
Prayer Text:
Bismillāhir-raḥmānir-raḥīm
Yā Ḥafīẓ, yā Ḥafīẓ, yā Ḥafīẓ, atawassalu ilayka biismikal-a‘ẓami an taḥfaẓ rūḥī min sharri sh-shayṭān wa nafsī min sharri s-sulṭān wa min sharri kulli jabbārin wa ‘udwān wa an taḥmīyanī biḥimāyatika wa fī ḥiṣnikal-ḥaṣīn yā dhal-faḍli wal-iḥsān waḥfaẓ mā amliku min kulli āfatin wa balā’in wa khusrān biḥurmat anbiyā’ikal-iẓām wa awliyā’ikal-kirām wa ṣallā Allāhu ‘alā sayyidinā Muḥammadin wa ‘alā ālihi wa ṣaḥbihi wa sallim.
English Transliteration:
Bismillahirrahmanirrahim.
Ya Hafiz, ya Hafiz, ya Hafiz, atawassalu ilayka biismikal a’zami an tahfaz ruhi min sharri sh-shaytani wa nafsi min sharri s-sultani wa min sharri kulli jabbarin wa udwanin wa an tahmini bihimayatik wa fi hisnikal hasin ya dhal fadli wal ihsan wahfaz ma amliku min kulli afatin wa balain wa khusran bihurmati anbiyaikal izam wa awliyaikal kiram wa sallallahu ala sayyidina Muhammadin wa ala alihi wa sahbihi wa sallim.
Meaning:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
O Hafiz (the Protector), O Hafiz! O Hafiz! I beseech You by Your Greatest Name to protect my soul from the evil of Satan, my self from the harm of unjust rulers, and from the wickedness of all tyrants and oppressors. Grant me Your divine protection and shelter me in Your secure fortress. O Lord of grace and benevolence, safeguard all that I possess from any calamity, disaster, and loss, by the honor of Your great prophets and noble saints. May peace and blessings be upon our master Muhammad, his family, and his companions.
