Effective Supplications: Verses Against Jinn and for Spiritual Protection

Are you seeking protection from spiritual distress and the negative influence of unseen beings? The Holy Quran is the ultimate refuge for believers. This article details powerful verses, known as Ruqyah, that serve as a spiritual shield, along with methods for their application for healing and divine protection.

The Power of Verses for Spiritual Protection and Method of Application

The Holy Quran is not only a guide to life but also a source of healing (Shifa) and mercy for believers. It is believed that specific verses, when recited against spiritual ailments, the evil eye (nazar), sorcery (sihr), or disturbances attributed to jinn, form a protective shield by the permission of Allah. To enhance the effect of these verses, a method recommended by scholars involves a patient and consistent practice. According to this method, the verses we will share are recited daily over clean water and pure olive oil for a period of six months. The blessed water is to be drunk daily, and the oil applied to the body. The true purpose of this practice is to seek refuge in the healing power of Allah’s words with complete submission.

The Pinnacle Verse: The Protective Power of Ayetel Kursi

When one speaks of prayers for protection, the first that comes to mind is undoubtedly the 255th verse of Surah Al-Baqarah, Ayetel Kursi (The Verse of the Throne). Described by Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) as “the master of the verses of the Quran,” this verse alone is a powerful spiritual shield. It is narrated that whoever recites it at night will be under divine protection until the morning, and whoever recites it in the morning will be protected until the evening.

Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 255

Transliteration: Allâhu1 lâ ilâhe illâ huve-lhayyu-lkayyûm(u), lâ te/ḣużuhu sinetun velâ nevm(un), lehu mâ fî-ssemâvâti vemâ fi-l-ard(i), men że-lleżî yeşfe’u ‘indehu illâ bi-iżnih(i), ya’lemu mâ beyne eydîhim vemâ ḣalfehum, velâ yuhîtûne bişey-in min ‘ilmihi illâ bimâ şâ(e), vesi’a kursiyyuhu-ssemâvâti vel-ard(a), velâ yeûduhu hifzuhumâ vehuve-l’aliyyu-l’azîm(u).2

Meaning: Allah – there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of [all] existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them, and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills. His Kursi (Throne) extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Most Great.

Verses3 from the Quran for Comprehensive Protection

In addition to Ayetel Kursi, verses from various chapters of the Quran that deal with themes of fire, torment, divine power, and the helplessness of devils are also recited for this purpose. These verses are believed to have a profound effect on malevolent entities, driving them away.
