Basmala Prayer | Prayer for the Acceptance of Supplications

According to Narrations

The Basmala Prayer is said to be a special prayer recited by Abdülkadir Geylani. It is believed that those who recite this prayer will have their righteous prayers accepted. Additionally, it is said that they will be inscribed in the registry of saints and that doors of goodness will remain open to them throughout their lives. This prayer is also believed to grant a vision of paradise while still in this world.

How to Perform the Prayer for the Acceptance of Supplications

At dawn, one should wake up with intention and follow the steps below:

1. Recite 786 times “Bismillahirrahmanirrahim.”
2. Offer 133 salutations (salawat) to the soul of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
3. Then, recite the prayer below as many times as desired or as one is able.

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

By the right, sanctity, and virtue of Bismillahirrahmanirrahim:

By the greatness, majesty, and exaltedness of Bismillahirrahmanirrahim;
By the beauty, perfection, and completeness of Bismillahirrahmanirrahim;
By the awe, splendor, and magnificence of Bismillahirrahmanirrahim;
By the status and noble rank of Bismillahirrahmanirrahim;
By the sovereignty, power, and authority of Bismillahirrahmanirrahim;
By the blessings, generosity, and grace of Bismillahirrahmanirrahim;

O Lord of infinite greatness, uplift my status, expand my heart, ease my affairs, and grant me sustenance from unexpected means.

O Kef Ha Ya Ayn Sad; O Ha Mim Ayn Sin Kaf!
O Lord of infinite mercy, include me among Your righteous servants, those who shall have no fear nor sorrow.
Grant me this favor through Your mercy, O Most Merciful of the Merciful.
