Ascetic Fasting and Spiritual Discipline
The shortest and least burdensome way to open the eye of the heart is to observe ascetic fasting on specific days. This process begins on a Sunday, Monday, or Thursday and continues for a full 7 days. During this period, the individual should consume only light foods such as dates and olives, eating very little. Additionally, one must refrain from speaking, never miss prayers, and recite the Quran and engage in dhikr (remembrance of Allah) after each prayer.
Dhikr and Salawat After Prayer
Reciting the name of Allah 66 times after each prayer and sending abundant salawat (blessings) upon the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) helps in opening the eye of the heart. These practices strengthen the individual’s connection with the spiritual realm and enable them to see spirits (arwah) in their dreams. This state continues during the state of wakefulness (between sleep and wakefulness). However, this secret must not be disclosed to anyone, as it may nullify the efforts.
The Process After 7 Days
After the 7-day period of asceticism, the individual should avoid animal products and eat very little. By continuing in this manner, the person begins to see spirits with their physical eyes. Persisting in this state allows for the discovery of greater secrets. However, this level of asceticism is sufficient to achieve success in spiritual practices.
Methods to Open the Eye of the Heart
1. Method: Starting on Sunday
Begin on a Sunday by observing ascetic fasting in seclusion. Perform ghusl (ritual bath) daily and recite the name of Allah 33,000 times day and night. Before and after this dhikr, send 1,001 salawat upon the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). After 7 days, the goal will be achieved.
2. Method: Starting on Monday
Begin on a Monday by entering seclusion and observing ascetic fasting. This process should continue for 3, 5, or 7 days. After each prayer, send 1,001 salawat upon the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and recite the name of Allah 6,666 times daily. After the Isha prayer, perform 2 rakats of voluntary prayer for the sake of Allah. In the first rakat, recite Surah Fatiha followed by Surah Inshirah 11 times. In the second rakat, recite Surah Fatiha followed by Surah Ikhlas 3 times. After the prayer, send 1,001 salawat and recite the name of Allah 66 times. The goal will be achieved by the 3rd, 5th, or 7th day.
3. Method: Seclusion and Tahajjud Prayer
Observe ascetic fasting in seclusion and perform the Tasbih prayer after the Isha prayer daily. After the prayer, send 1,001 salawat upon the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Wake up every night to perform the Tahajjud prayer, reciting Surah Inshirah in the first rakats and Surah Ikhlas in the second rakats. Continue these practices for 7 days, and the goal will be achieved.

Surah Inshirah

Surah Ikhlas
