This prayer, recommended by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), is recited to maintain good health, protect from illnesses, and seek refuge from all kinds of harm.

Prayer for Protection and Good Health

Anyone who wishes to recover from an illness, attain healing, or stay protected from all kinds of dangers, accidents, and evils—whether from humans or supernatural beings—should recite the following prayer as often as possible. By doing so, Allah safeguards the individual from deceit, traps, and various diseases.

Prayer for Always Staying Healthy

Arabic Text:

اللّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْعَافِيَةَ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ، اللّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْعَفْوَ وَالْعَافِيَةَ فِي دِينِي وَدُنْيَايَ وَأَهْلِي وَمَالِي، اللّهُمَّ اسْتُرْ عَوْرَاتِي وَآمِنْ رَوْعَاتِي، اللّهُمَّ احْفَظْنِي مِنْ بَيْنِ يَدَيَّ وَمِنْ خَلْفِي وَعَنْ يَمِينِي وَعَنْ شِمَالِي وَمِنْ فَوْقِي، وَأَعُوذُ بِعَظَمَتِكَ أَنْ أُغْتَالَ مِنْ تَحْتِي، اللّهُمَّ أَغْنِنِي بِالْعِلْمِ وَزَيِّنِّي بِالْحِلْمِ وَكَرِّمْنِي بِالتَّقْوَى وَجَمِّلْنِي بِالْعَافِيَةِ.

Transliteration:

Allahümme innî es ’elükel âfiyete fid dünyâ vel âhireti. Allahümme innî es’elükel afve vel âfiyete fi dînî ve dünyâye ve ehlî ve mâlî. Allahümmestur avrâtî ve âmin rav’âtî. Allahüm mahfaznî min beyni yedeyye ve min halfi ve an yemînî ve an şimâlî ve min fevkî ve eüzü biazametike en üğtâle min tahtî. Allahümme ağninî bil ’ılmi ve zeyyinnî bil hılmi ve kerrimnî bit takvâ ve cemmilnî bil âfiyeti.

Meaning:

O Allah, I ask You for well-being in this world and the Hereafter. O Allah, I ask You for forgiveness and well-being in my religion, my worldly affairs, my family, and my wealth. O Allah, cover my faults and grant me security from my fears. O Allah, protect me from the front, from behind, from my right, from my left, and from above; and I seek refuge in Your greatness from being taken from beneath me. O Allah, enrich me with knowledge, adorn me with patience, honor me with piety, and beautify me with well-being.

Reciting this prayer regularly will help a person maintain both physical and spiritual well-being. Seeking refuge in Allah through supplication is one of the best ways to attain protection and healing.
