Allahumma inni as-aluka an tusakhkhirali khuddama hadhihis-surat-ish-sharifati yujibunani ila ma uridu innaka fa’aalun lima turid.

Meaning:

“O Allah! Indeed, I ask You to make subservient to me the servitors (khuddam) of this noble Surah, so that they may respond to me regarding what I desire. Surely, You are the Doer of what You will.”

This supplication is a plea directly to Allah Almighty for the spiritual servitors of Surah Al-Waqi’ah to assist the person in their legitimate desires. Reciting the prayer sincerely and contemplating its meaning will increase its effectiveness.

The Expected Manifestation: The Arrival of the Khadim and Conditions

It is stated that if the ritual is performed correctly and with complete faith, on that Friday, after the Jumu’ah (Friday congregational) prayer, a khadim (spiritual servitor) “dressed in white” will appear and “give the person much worldly wealth.” This is a reflection of the belief, common in the science of Havas, that contact can be established with spiritual beings as a result of certain deeds.

However, there is an important condition for this manifestation: “During this period, you will not speak to anyone.” This refers to a state of silence (sukut) from the moment one enters khalwa on Tuesday until the arrival of the khadim. Not speaking helps to direct attention entirely inward and towards the spiritual purpose, and to become detached from the influences of the external world.

Patience and Consistency: The Continuity of the Ritual

If the expected khadim does not arrive on the first Friday, it is advised not to despair and to continue the ritual in the same manner until the following Friday. The statement “Do not doubt at all that the khadim will surely come” emphasizes the correctness of the practice and the importance of patience. In Havas practices, patience, perseverance, and unwavering trust in Allah are keys to success. Ultimately, it is promised that “one will become wealthy to an extent that no eye has seen and no ear has heard.” This may indicate a great blessing, both materially and spiritually.

Purity of Intention and Legitimacy of Purpose

The most fundamental condition in any Havas practice is that the intention must be pure and the purpose must be a legitimate desire in accordance with Islam. It should not be forgotten that actions performed with illegitimate intentions, such as harming others or seeking unjust gain, will have negative consequences both in this world and the hereafter. Imam Ghazali frequently emphasizes that deeds are valued according to their intentions (Ihya’ Ulum al-Din).

Spiritual Protection and Preparation

Since Havas practices involve interaction with spiritual realms, it is important for the person to protect themselves from possible negative influences. This is usually achieved by reciting protective prayers such as Ayat al-Kursi, Surah Al-Falaq, and Surah An-Nas, being in a state of ablution (wudu), and paying attention to general spiritual cleanliness. Therefore, individuals entering this path should be very careful and, if possible, seek ijazah (permission or authorization) from a righteous and knowledgeable guide (murshid).
