Bismillâhirrahmânirrahîm,

Allahülfa ’âalü fil umüri küllihâ. Allahumme salli alâ seyyidinâ Muhammedin salâten tesilü ilâ fulânin tehzikuhu hezken.

Yâ Kaviyyü, yâ Kâhiru, yâ Azîzü, yâ Zel intikami, yâ Zel batşiş ‘şedidi. Yâ Serîullezî lâ yükâfî intikamuhu haddürı hakki min fulânin bihakki Cibrile emînike alâ vahyike… Allahumme demmir vitrehu, vehbit erkânehu. Yâ Kaviyyü yâ Kaviyyü yâ Allah, bihakki’l Hıdri aleyhisselâm.

The Meaning of the Prayer

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

O Allah, the absolute Doer (the one who decrees and acts) in all matters! O Allah, send such blessings upon our Master Muhammad that they reach ‘so-and-so’ and shake him violently.

O Qawiyy (The All-Strong), O Qahir (The Subduer), O ‘Aziz (The Almighty), O Possessor of Vengeance, O He whose grasp is severe! O He whose vengeance is swift and cannot be withstood! For the sake of Gabriel, the trustee of Your revelation, the helper of Your allies, and the destroyer of Your enemies, grant me my right from ‘so-and-so’. O Allah, destroy his plot and shake his foundations. O Qawiyy, O Qawiyy, O Allah! For the sake of Khidr (peace be upon him), (accept my prayer).

What is the Importance and Secret of This Prayer?

What makes this prayer special is that the supplication is made by taking refuge directly in the most powerful and effective names of Allah (Asma-ul Husna).

• Supplication with Allah’s Powerful Names: With expressions in the prayer such as “Yâ Kaviyyü” (O The All-Strong) and “Yâ Kâhiru” (O The Subduer), we acknowledge our own powerlessness and take refuge in His infinite might.
